The story behind this set

A pet llama. The plush animal has incredibly soft pink fur, brown hooves and a colorful pom-pom necklace, and it travels in a striped bag rather than a printed one.

How it plays

The llama is the set people buy as a gift when they do not know the child well. It reads as unusual without being strange, and it keeps every habit the puppy sets have.

Good to know about this shelf

These sets keep the Pucci Pups format exactly — plush animal, carrier bag, grooming accessories — and change the occupant to a pony, a llama or a sparkly unicorn. The bags are decorated in stripes, hearts and rainbow panels rather than the pink florals of the puppy shelf.

No collar comes in the box and none is needed; the handle is what travels. The age mark matches the classic carrier sets, each toy is a stuffed animal eight inches tall, and an adorable pal is the gift that keeps a shelf of cocker spaniel dogs from looking the same for years — a friend to love, brushed, fed and carried wherever the day goes, with vet care play borrowed from the puppy sets.
