The Surprise range runs to twelve pocket-sized puppies: beagle, schnauzer, poodle, chihuahua, chocolate lab, Maltese, Boston terrier, pug, shih tzu, bichon frise, Yorkshire terrier and cocker spaniel. No breed appears twice inside a box, and the two six-packs between them cover all twelve with nothing in common.

The two six-packs are a complete set

Litter One holds the beagle, schnauzer, chihuahua, bichon frise, Yorkshire terrier and cocker spaniel. Litter Two holds the poodle, Boston terrier, pug, shih tzu, chocolate lab and Maltese. Buy both and the collection is finished — thirty-six pieces each, seventy-two in total, and not a single duplicate puppy.

The trios are for building slowly

If the point is the collecting rather than the owning, the eighteen-piece trios are the better route. Each one brings three pups, three purses and twelve accessories, and the four trios we make overlap with the six-packs rather than with each other.
